I am using OSX on a Mac and use Terminal quite often. I have built a few startup scripts that execute on shell open with the.bashprofile file. However, I would like to be able to have one of them run only on the open of the first shell session when I launch the Terminal app. Run a macOS Virtual Machine (All Apps) The most reliable way to run Mac apps on Linux is through a virtual machine. With a free, open-source hypervisor application like VirtualBox, you can run macOS on a virtual device on your Linux machine. A properly-installed virtualized macOS environment will run all macOS apps without issue. W, -wait-apps Blocks until the used applications are closed (even if they were already running).args All remaining arguments are passed in argv to the application's main function instead of opened.n, -new Open a new instance of the application even if one is already running.j, -hide Launches the app hidden.

Shell scripts must be executable files in order to run. You can use the chmod command to indicate that the text file is executable (that is, its contents can be run as a shell script). Mac server app freezes.
